As we welcome the #1 ranked team in the country to Rock's House, let us take a minute to reflect upon the last two times a top-ranked squad staggered out of South Bend with a red-hot one dangling from their touchas. October 15, 1988 (when the Unversity of Miami of Florida served as cannon fodder) and November 13, 1993 (when the Seminoles of Florida State cruised into town) were different, much simpler times.
