Dink & Dunk: Stay Alive Edition
So I saw a preview for that movie "Stay Alive" and it blew my mind. The premise of the movie fits entirely in its tagline: "You Die In The Game - You Die For Real". The preview for the movie rips off this brief exposition to the plot, then blasts through thirty seconds of screaming co-eds running around aimlessly. Now, Stay Alive seems like typical unimaginative B-movie schlock, but it got me to thinking... what if all video games were like this?
See, I own exactly one Playstation game -- NCAA Football 2006. It went into my Playstation's (or as I like to call it, my NCAA06station) drive the day I bought it and will not come out until the day it is gingerly replaced with NCAA 07. Imagine the horrible situations that could arise if one inadvertantly played a cursed version of NCAA 06. It's so frightening that it requires a six-panel graphic novel to do it justice.

I created my own team won a NC and waited for ND to come calling, nope - Texas and tOSU. So I moved on to GA Tech. Where I won two NC's in 3 years. Somehow, during that time ND slipped to a 3 star program. I went 11 - 1 (damn you MSU) in my first season, 2012, with ND and am currently undefeated halfway through the third. My team has Ty Willie talent level but I am coaching em up and recruiting speed on defense wherever I can. My life is pathetic. I admit it.
Side note: while playing with GT I played "The Viscious Animals" and one I got up 93-0. I stopped scoring. On purpose.
I'm confused. Do you mean that PS2 makes other games besides NCAA 2006?
If so...why would they do that?
Amateurs! Let's see you win an NC with Army. That's right, Army! Again, Texas and tOSU wished to employ my 6-star services, but why leave Army for a less prestigious program?
I have done the Army thing in the past. Won the NC game one time with my HB playing QB for 2 quarters because all three of my QB's were injured. 3rd and long sucked."Lessee what option play I run now."
I started a dynasty with ND, but after 7 years with them on Heisman difficulty and 6 national championships Kevin White had the gall to only offer me a 4 year contract extension.
So I left ND for Cal, vowing to schedule ND first every season so they would never again win a national title without me. This occurred for 3 season and 3 national titles at Cal, until, wouldn't you know, it? ND came knocking back at my door with a contract offer. So I came back to ND, scheduled my Cal superteam first, and destroyed them 91-0.
I have a completely healthy relationship with this game.
