Dink & Dunk: So That's What Rammer Jammer Means

So I finally broke down and picked up a copy of Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer. It's an excellent read and I think it goes without saying that it's required reading for any obsessed sports enthusiast or blogger. One thing's for sure, it really gets the ole pump primed for the football season which is right around the corner (right? It's right around the corner, isn't it?).

Anyway, Warren just made some headlines recently as he is getting sued by the owner of the rickety recreational vehicle on the cover of the book, Ron St. John (our investigative team has concluded there is no relation between these two men, although they did turn up some evidence that suggests Ron St. John might, in fact, be his own grandfather). According to the details of the lawsuit, the beleageured owner of "The Toad" has experienced a devastating debasement of the unique identity of his road queen. Nowadays, he claims, everybody recognizes his RV as "that vehicle what's on the cover of that there book what don't got no pictures in it" rather than "that festering monstrosity that unloaded its chemical toilet on my petunia garden", the dignified identity it has worked hard to sustain.

Fact of the matter is, we saw this coming. You can't spend a football season cruising around in an RV and living the American Dream, and get paid to do it, and not expect any legal backlash. Of course, we had a feeling it would be a slightly different kind of lawsuit arriving on Warren's doorstep...
