Friday Night Lites - Fire Mark May, Penn State Preview, and Joe Paterno Interview!
Today might very well be a breakthrough moment for Friday Night Lites, as it goes from small-peanuts podcast to big-time sports journalism . Someone in our public relations department was able to get in touch with Joe Paterno's people and line him up for an interview on FNL! I might have been a little shaky because I was intimidated by interviewing a legend, but all in all it was a great interview and a great way to get prepared for the season.
We also kicked off this prodcast with an interview with Mike from Fire Mark May, who regaled us with stories of the Atlanta trip and chatted about some football. It's a special episode, and I think you'll all learn something at the end of it all.
Furthermore, Mike made a leap to the top of the lightning round charts, although his score of 5 was very contentious and mostly due to technicalities. The leaderboard:
